Bitzaro Grande Hotel & Suites - Kalamaki (Zakynthos)

Absolutely loved the idea of a private pool, but I had to suffer through insipid coffee and tasteless drinks that echoed my disappointment, just when I thought I'd get a good beverage! What happened to complimentary perks for special guests, hmmm? I was almost ready to give a decent review, just couldn't settle for this mediocrity.

The location in a great area was great and there were a local store and shops nearby.

The location minutes away from city centre was particularly good. Easy access to Dionysios Solomos airport, which was about 10 minutes' drive away. There were very comfy beds and complimentary wireless internet, a whirlpool, and a kettle inside the room.

Great place with amazing service, outdoor swimming pool, and a great bar/lounge area. The staff helped me find transport on my first visit. I'm coming back for Xmas!

The room was comfortable, with a spacious layout with a large queen bed and plush pillows that ensured a restful sleep. The terrace with the private whirlpool was a true escape. The food was really good, with diverse choices including good vegetarian options.

We had an amazing stay! The food selection was fantastic, with so many options at every meal. Plus, the pool area was always clean and had plenty of sunbeds available. One minor downside was the early sunbed reservation, but it didn't ruin our experience. I can't wait to come back!

Dinner was an adventure every night and staff went out of their way to cater to us. The cocktails by the pool? Absolutely worth trying. The only downside? The coffee situation was disappointing. It reminded me of instant, especially from the machines, and left a lot to be desired. Although I appreciated the jug of water in the fridge when we checked in, the quality of the water around the hotel wasn't great. A little more soundproofing in the rooms would be nice to cope with the nearby airport noise. These quirks aside, the atmosphere was very nice was good.

The suite with a private pool made our stay good, but the instant coffee was disappointing.

The hotel had a great laid-back vibe and was a perfect spot for my family. The pool area was a sun trap, and we enjoyed some delicious snacks from the pool bar, especially the fresh ice cream! Our small kid had a blast here.

My children wanted a kids' club for more activities.

We had a blast chillin' by the pool every day. The staff was super friendly. The food was way better than expected, especially the snack bar options. One thing tho, the rooms could use a bit more soundproofing to block out the planes a lil more.

The Bitzaro hotel's open plan design reminded me of a breezy sanctuary, where I discovered paths lined with fragrant lavender. The ample seating areas allowed me to relax with ease, all while enjoying lovely views of the gardens.

More shaded areas by the pool would be lovely.

The staff were excellent. The location was incredible close to the airport. The stay was absolutely very special. The hotel's staff were outstanding, the location close to the airport was fantastic, and the whirlpool and kettle in our room were convenient.
